Are you dealing with an unwelcome bee colony on your property in West Palm Beach or the surrounding tri-county area? Don’t let unwanted guests like bees infest your home, business, or, in this case, a 32-foot-tall free! We specialize in safe, live bee removal, ensuring the humane relocation of these vital pollinators to our local bee farm (apiary).

Hello, I’m Nick, the owner of GotBeez, and I wanted to share a truly memorable save we completed recently. You have to Bee-lieve it!

We were called out to a beautiful property right on West Palm Beach Island, Florida, for a challenging live bee removal job. The homeowner had a thriving bee colony that had taken up residence in a massive tree—32 feet up in the air! This was definitely a job that required our full expertise and specialized equipment.

The main goals for every job are always the same: ensure the safety of our crew and the property, and most importantly, ensure the safety and successful relocation of the bees.

Precision Work: Capturing the Queen Bee

As you saw in the video, getting up to the hive was just the first step. The real art of live bee removal is extracting the entire colony without harming them. The key to a successful relocation is the Queen Bee.

After safely taking down the large sections of honeycomb, we were able to locate and gently capture the queen. What happened next is always a moment of pure satisfaction: once the queen was safely tucked into our specialized nuc box, the rest of the bee colony instantly started to smell her presence.

As I mentioned in the video: “I went up, took down the comb. I got the queen in here, and before I can even get the nuc up with the queen, they’ve already smelt her and they’re coming down and they’re moving in right now, guys. There’s bees everywhere. They’re coming down on their own.”

The sight of the worker bees calmly and quickly following their Queen right into the transport box is what we call “Bee Magic.” The entire colony was captured and is now on its way to our local South Florida bee farm to thrive.
